K 2025 a sustainable success for WTH

(mud) – For the international trading company WTH GmbH, participation in the world’s leading plastics trade fair “K 2025” in Düsseldorf was a lasting success. The Lower Saxony-based company presented itself as one of the leading suppliers of additives. Managing Director Gero Thieme expressed his great satisfaction:

“Our trade fair team was able to hold numerous constructive discussions with customers, suppliers, and potential partners, deepen existing relationships, and initiate many new business contacts.”

Trade visitors showed great interest in the flame retardants, processing aids, and fine chemicals such as light stabilizers and antioxidants offered by WTH, which, according to company head Gero Thieme, clearly took center stage in many conversations.

Visitors to the WTH booth were greeted by ten highly motivated and qualified employees from both the company’s headquarters in Stade and from Poland — four of whom accompanied the company’s exhibition presence throughout all eight days of the fair. In addition to the intensive exchange with long-standing partners, numerous new project ideas and cooperation approaches emerged. In his long-standing connection to “K,” company founder Walter Thieme also attended the trade fair in North Rhine-Westphalia’s capital.

According to Gero Thieme, the insights gained will now be analyzed and incorporated into future corporate development:

“The findings from the trade fair discussions will be integrated into our internal business planning for 2026 and our medium-term strategic planning. K 2025 provided clear confirmation that we are perceived as a competent and reliable partner for high-quality additive solutions.”

From WTH’s perspective, the framework conditions of the triennial plastics trade fair were once again optimal this year: Under the motto “The Power of Plastics! Green – Smart – Responsible”, 3,275 exhibitors from 66 countries presented in 18 exhibition halls and outdoor areas.

During the trade fair, many constructive discussions took place at the WTH booth

More than 175,000 trade visitors from around 160 countries came to the Rhine. Nearly three-quarters of all attendees came from abroad, with more than one-third traveling from overseas. China (6,300 visitors) and India (6,400 visitors) were particularly well represented. A total of 10,000 visitors came from the USA and Brazil. Once again, the fair was characterized by an above-average proportion of decision-makers — 67 percent.

“The environment in which we currently have to navigate remains extremely challenging,” explained Ulrich Reifenhäuser, Chairman of the Exhibitors’ Advisory Board of K 2025. “But especially in such times, the strength of our industry becomes evident. Plastics have been and will remain the most important material of our time. They combine lightness, functionality, energy efficiency, and versatility and are pioneers of progress in many application areas.”

WTH company founder Walter Thieme is confident about the future of the industry and plastics:

“With improved recycling solutions and circular concepts, plastics are increasingly becoming the most sustainable material of our time.”

The date for the next K in three years has already been set. It’s worth marking it in your calendar!
