Plastics and elastomers are essential materials in various industries, such as the automotive, electrical and electronics, and packaging industries. To ensure their quality and durability, primary and secondary antioxidants are frequently added to these materials. Here, the different mechanisms of action of primary and secondary antioxidants, as well as their combinations in plastics and elastomers, are explained.
Summer is vacation season – and with it begins the time of vacation coverage at WTH GmbH in Stade. While some colleagues are enjoying the sun, the beach, or the mountains, the remaining teams ensure that day-to-day operations continue to run smoothly and reliably.

As we enter the new year, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for the trusting and successful cooperation. In a challenging and dynamic market environment shaped by innovation, sustainability, and technological progress, our close partnership has been a key driver of success.
In November 2025, we received the sad news of the sudden passing of our colleague and friend Michael-Uwe Dreyling. He accompanied WTH GmbH for nearly three decades – first as a critical observer and partner from the outside, later as a valued member of our communications team.
“Lifelong learning is no longer an empty formula, but a survival strategy,” said WTH founder Walter Thieme years ago. The entrepreneur, who constantly expanded his knowledge, recognized that success is not a permanent state but the result of continuous development. That is why he promoted not only his own training but also that of his employees—convinced that individual learning directly contributes to business success.

The trade fair once again focused on crucial topics such as the circular economy, digitalization, innovative materials and advanced technologies.
WTH aims to make processes more efficient and transparent. Starting January 1, 2025, we will exclusively create, process, and archive electronic invoices. The hybrid data format “ZUGFeRD” (Central User Guide of the Forum for Electronic Invoicing Germany) will be used. This ensures WTH invoices are machine-readable and can be automatically processed by recipients via the embedded XML file. At the same time, the invoice will also be available as a visual document (PDF file) for recipients who cannot process electronic invoices.
