Fakuma 2026: WTH GmbH Impresses with Innovative Additives and Strong Partnerships

Successful trade fair in Friedrichshafen: Strong interest in plastic additives, functional fillers and sustainable solutions for plastics processing.
Strong Discussions. Fresh Impulses. Clear Prospects.

WTH Walter Thieme Handel GmbH looks back on its participation in the 30th Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen with an entirely positive assessment. Five days at the trade fair, numerous in-depth technical discussions and new project ideas underscore the continued demand for innovative additive solutions, collaborative partnerships and reliable supply chains.
With three employees present throughout the entire trade fair, WTH showcased its diverse product portfolio to an international professional audience in Hall B4.

Three Key Topics Shaping the Plastics Industry
Efficiency and cost-effectiveness, digitalisation and automation, as well as sustainability and the circular economy were among the key topics at this anniversary edition of the trade fair. For WTH GmbH, these developments provide important impetus for supporting customers in plastics and rubber processing with high-performance additives and functional fillers.

Flame retardants, processing aids, light stabilisers and antioxidants from the WTH portfolio attracted particularly strong interest. Functional fillers also received considerable attention.
Special emphasis was placed on sustainable product alternatives such as WTH®-Bio R. This bio-based product is used as an internal and external lubricant and release agent in plastics processing. It expands the possibilities for combining proven processing properties with the use of renewable raw materials.
Strengthening Existing Partnerships and Building New Contacts

“Fakuma 2026 was a success for us in every respect. We held numerous constructive discussions with customers, suppliers and prospective business partners, strengthened existing partnerships and established new business contacts,” says Managing Director Gero Thieme, summarising the company’s experience.

The professional response to the WTH portfolio was equally encouraging. Dr Silke-Nikola Trzaska particularly highlights the interest in the company’s technical solutions:
Looking Ahead to 2027 with Renewed Momentum
“Our flame retardants, processing aids and fine chemicals—including light stabilisers and antioxidants—were at the centre of many discussions. The positive response confirms the relevance of our portfolio and reinforces our strategic direction.”

In addition to exchanging views on existing applications, the trade fair generated new project ideas and concrete approaches for future collaborations. It therefore provided valuable impetus for further cooperation with customers and suppliers.
The trade fair may be over, but the work continues. WTH GmbH will systematically evaluate the insights gained and incorporate them into its business planning for 2027 and its medium-term corporate strategy.

“The discussions at Fakuma gave us valuable insights into current market requirements and future developments. They show that WTH is valued as a competent and reliable partner for high-quality additive solutions. We intend to make targeted use of these insights to further develop our offering and strengthen our collaboration with customers,” emphasises Gero Thieme.

Our Conclusion: Productive Discussions. New Opportunities. A Shared Future.
The 30th Fakuma was far more than a successful trade fair appearance for WTH GmbH. It provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, establish new contacts and explore prospects for joint projects.
With innovative additives, functional fillers and a clear commitment to collaborative partnerships, WTH looks to the future with confidence.
We would like to thank all visitors, customers, suppliers and business partners for the open exchange of ideas and the trust they have placed in us!
