Modifiers and Processing Aids
Acrylic copolymers
These are acrylate-based processing aids with different molecular weights for PVC. Also suitable for foamed sheets and profiles. It is also suitable as a lubricant to improve flow properties and increase production quantities/output.
Applications for this product
Chlorinated polyethylene
The Addforce Mod series belongs to the impact modifiers that find their field of application in the PVC sector. It is chlorinated polyethylene – partly with improved pourability. Especially our Addforce Mod 135A125 and our Addforce Mod 135A125X can easily be delivered in silo trucks due to their good flowability. The impact modifiers for the PVC range have a standard CL content of around 36%.
Furthermore, CM grades are available for use in elastomers and cable applications. The Addforce Mod types have good weather and chemical resistance.
In addition to the pure CPE types, impact modifiers combining the advantages of acrylates and chlorinated polyethylene are also available, especially for PVC window profiles. This means that the ever-increasing demands of PVC customers for cost and performance improvements can be optimally met.

Functional fatty acid complexes
Our functional fatty acids have a wide range of applications. They can be used to improve the processing of highly filled polymers, regardless of which filler is used. They influence the flow behavior and can also be used as “compatibilizers” to support the processing/homogenisation of polymer blends and polymer alloys. When using the functional fatty acids, the appearance of the surfaces is improved. Functional fatty acids have non-blooming properties and can therefore be used in printable application fields.
WTH functional fatty acids can be used in masterbatches and compounds. The use in recyclates is also possible.
Other advantages:
- Reduction of cycle times
- Improved surface
- Optimum dispersion, especially at high filling levels
- Improved flow properties
- Higher impact strength, especially with talc-filled compounds

Processing aids for (highly) filled plastics
Processing/dispersing aids enable better processing of highly filled polymers with classic mineral fillers as well as with high graphite and fibre contents. Furthermore, they change the rheology of the polymer melt and influence the flow behaviour. Especially with highly filled (mineral, flame retardant) polymers there is an improvement in viscosity. Processing/dispersing aids can be used in almost all polymers and can also be used in flame-retardant applications as well as at processing temperatures above 220 °C.
The field of application of our processing/dispersing aids is versatile. They are also used as “compatibilisers” to assist in the processing/homogenisation of polymer blends and polymer alloys. Furthermore, the orientation of fibres can be optimised in the polymer to obtain a more uniform and better surface appearance.
Processing/dispersing aids from WTH are effective both in masterbatches and in the compound. Due to the non-blooming properties, these products can also be used in printable application fields.
Other advantages:
- Improved surface
- Higher impact strength, especially with talc-filled compounds
- Homogeneous dispersion, especially at high filling levels
- Improves melt flow
- Shorter cycle times
