Three Exhibitions in 2024

(mud) – The trade fair experts of the WTH staff are already diligently preparing for the trade fair year 2024. As “old hands,” they know that comprehensive and, above all, timely preparation is the “alpha and omega” of success. WTH CEO Gero Thieme: “The team is shouldering three major appearances this year – including a brand-new contender for us in North Rhine-Westphalia”.

Nothing works without containers anymore

(WTH/mud) – Thousands upon thousands of containers are transported around the globe every day. Without them, the global flow of goods would hardly be as smooth. Container giants have completely replaced break-bulk ships. Thanks to these “transport boxes,” goods can now be transported in unimaginable quantities to any location in the world in the shortest amount of time. Moreover, they can be delivered to their destinations by ship, airplane, train, or truck without the need for unloading and reloading. The assertion that they have revolutionized the transportation industry is by no means an exaggeration.

Fakuma is just around the corner: Plastic event of the year

SNT – In a few weeks, the gates will open to the long-awaited Fakuma, the international trade fair for plastic processing and technology. This significant event, taking place from October 17th to 21st, 2023, in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, attracts professionals and enthusiasts from all around the world to explore the latest developments, innovations, and trends in the industry.

A Look Behind the Scenes at AOS

(jb) – Company tours promote good collaboration: Not far from WTH GmbH’s headquarters in Stade, we have one of our supply plants with which we maintain particularly long-standing relationships – Aluminium Oxide Stade GmbH (AOS) in Stade-Bützfleth. AOS is part of DADCO Alumina & Chemicals.

Welcome back to the workplace

(mud) – Summer, sun, beach – and: substitute services. The gaze at the colleague’s workplace is vacant. The desk neighbor is on vacation. Now, substitute services are required. Office days have new, additional focal points. This applies to everyone at some point because eventually even those left behind go on vacation. Concentrated presence at the desk is then necessary for those who remain, says WTH CEO Gero Thieme: “There is hardly a chance to use flexible working hours for an earlier end of the workday…”

Success Secret: Supply Security

(mud) –  The secret to solid business success was discovered by WTH founder Walter Thieme decades ago. His son Gero, who has been the managing director for the past two years, applies it just as consistently. And indeed, the Lower Saxony mail-order company from Stade has remained successful even during the difficult years of the pandemic. For Walter and Gero Thieme, the secret has a name: supply security.

Good staff is worth its weight in gold

(dh/mud) – For Dieter Holst, the “Fakuma” in Friedrichshafen is an “exciting trade show”. To him, it seems practically like a small “K,” the international plastics trade show in Düsseldorf. But it is more manageable, he says. In his article, Holst (WTH Sales) impressively describes what he particularly appreciates about Fakuma in the “Zeppelin” city on Lake Constance:

Plastpol – a success

(mud) – For the fourteenth time this year, WTH GmbH from Stade participated in “Plastpol” in Kielce, Poland. Company CEO Gero Thieme is convinced: “Our persistent engagement in the neighboring country is slowly paying off. A dynamically growing business is developing in Poland, as well as in neighboring countries.”

“We’re back again”

(mud) –  “The ECS, the European Coating Show, represents a significant platform for us,” says Dr. Silke-Nicola Trzaska, “because it allows us to identify new suppliers, maintain existing business relationships, and collaborate successfully with our customers.” This assessment is shared by the visitors of this year’s ECS.
