What Lies Behind a Working Life:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

\u201cEyes and Ears in Poland\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

(mud) \u2013 Those who come into the office in the morning aren\u2019t always just thinking about their current tasks. Sometimes, personal matters are on their minds. This also applies to WTH employees\u2014especially since some of them come from international backgrounds. Today, Tomasz Wojtas shares his thoughts on work with us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u201cMy family means everything to me,\u201d says Tomasz Wojtas. Later this year, he will celebrate his silver wedding anniversary with his wife Malgorzata. He is especially proud of his daughter: \u201cWeronika found a great position with an American company in Krakow after completing her IT studies.\u201d Wojtas lives with his wife, daughter, and their Border Collie in the countryside of southeastern Poland.<\/p>\n\n

From the beginning, his professional path followed a clear direction: forward! After studying economics at the university in Krakow, he discovered his great passion for sales. His motto: \u201cSelling with technical understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Since his parents and sister were already living in the USA, he too felt drawn to the land of opportunity. There, he gained experience as a car salesman. Enriched with insights from the U.S., he returned to his home country, Poland.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cIt was here that I discovered WTH through a job ad while working in the sale of technical plastic granulates,\u201d he recalls. \u201cThat\u2019s when I entered the \u2018new world\u2019 of polymer chemistry by selling additives\u2014ranging from fillers to modifiers\u2014with expert knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

He soon developed into both a skilled advisor and a passionate advocate for his customers in Poland. Company founder Walter Thieme fondly remembers: \u201cTomasz Wojtas quickly became the \u2018eyes and ears of WTH\u2019 in building new business relationships in Poland.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cWTH was a stroke of luck for me,\u201d Wojtas adds. \u201cI immediately appreciated the wide-ranging freedom for professional development and creativity, the flat hierarchies, and the technical competence of my colleagues in Stade.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

He also greatly values the digital transformation within the company. But in one area, he remains a firm traditionalist: \u201cI don\u2019t need a smartphone to make calls. A regular mobile phone is enough for me. I just want to make phone calls!\u201d<\/p>\n\n

For Tomasz Wojtas, work plays a central role, but he also values his free time\u2014especially peaceful moments. \u201cI relax with my family on holidays in my beloved Poland. At the Baltic Sea in Gda\u0144sk, on walks through Masuria or in the mountains\u2014always with our dog, of course.\u201d He admits he\u2019d like to lose a few pounds: \u201cBut as someone who enjoys the good things in life, that\u2019s especially hard for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
