“Fakuma” ideal platform for international contacts
(dh/mud) – For Dieter Holst, the “Fakuma” in Friedrichshafen is an “exciting trade show”. To him, it seems practically like a small “K,” the international plastics trade show in Düsseldorf. But it is more manageable, he says. In his article, Holst (WTH Sales) impressively describes what he particularly appreciates about Fakuma in the “Zeppelin” city on Lake Constance:
I quickly find my way through the halls at Fakuma. All the important producers and suppliers are represented. This promises from the outset that I can hold good discussions here directly and without stress. Because there are no long distances to cover, I can find all the companies that interest me in a short time. In my “free time”, I can also comfortably stroll through Fakuma and thus discover new ideas and also maintain existing contacts “in passing”, so to speak.
If I have questions, I can get the answers immediately by talking to various exhibitors. The best solutions are found quite easily, as if by magic. Often we hear: “A colleague is looking for XY, can you help?” The contact is quickly established – and we pick up the thread.
Not to be underestimated: At a trade fair, you also “incidentally” get a picture of an exhibitor. What does the stand look like (size, cleanliness, clear structure, closed or open, recognizable by the logo), how competent are the employees and what is the company’s focus?
Just a few questions – and I can already get an idea of the exhibitor. And if the topics are then quickly followed up in the aftermath of the trade fair, I recognize almost automatically whether I have found a new business partner.
For WTH, this trade fair in Baden-Württemberg is, in my view, an optimal platform for establishing contacts in the regions of the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. You can find the WTH booth in the usual location in Hall B4, Booth 4505 from October 17th to 21st this year.
And certainly not unimportant: At Fakuma we meet buying customers, i.e. developers who talk about sampling or managing directors who want to get an idea of WTH – even students who want to orient themselves at the trade fair with a view to their professional future have already come to our stand.
