(mud) – It is always the same. Nevertheless, it turns out differently every time: The WTH workforce is in the starting blocks for the next twelve months. It will start off quietly, after all, people elsewhere, for example in China, celebrate the turn of the year later than in this country. But WTH managing director Gero Thieme has carefully worked out the plans for 2022. – The new year can start.
Thieme has an eye on everything that will remain or will come: tense supply chains, material bottlenecks and exploding logistics costs for everything that has to be sent or transported internationally.
The business expectations for WTH remain positive, despite many question marks such as exchange rates, various political tensions Russia versus Ukraine, PR China, Belarus versus EU. The WTH target figures for 2022 are in line with the previous year – and with certain positive characteristics.
According to WTH, the current situation in the preview appears to be similar to that of leading economic institutes: The company, like you, expects that the general conditions will not ease until the second half of 2022 at the earliest. Regardless of this, Managing Director Thieme firmly counts on the commitment of his employees, some of whom have been with the company for many years and always work single-mindedly towards mutual success.
At the same time, WTH managing director Thieme hopes that the plastics trade fair “K” will be held in Düsseldorf in the fall. This plastics and rubber fair, which takes place every three years in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, is the leading global trade fair for the industry. Right from the start, it has served WTH as an important platform for maintaining contacts with business partners and for acquiring new customers.
For Thieme, the primary goal for the year is to “maintain the inventory” of the “regular customers” who buy, in order to supply them with sufficient material within the economic framework. In doing so, WTH remains true to its principles of not only supplying business partners with suitable raw materials, but also providing them with expert and competent support in further and new developments as well as special projects.
